Busy, busy, busy

In the past few weeks we've seen the cardiologist and the urologist for Gabriel. He was diagnosed with congenital heart disease in Russia, so the cardiologist was more precautionary than anything. He got a normal report from that doctor. He also has a testicle that hasn't dropped yet so he needs a surgery to fix it. It is an outpatient surgery, but we have to go to Abilene for that (I have no idea why, but that is where Tricare sent us.) We saw the urologist two weeks ago, but he wanted to wait for the surgery for good measure until Gabriel had been seen by the cardiologist which was Wed the 18th. Now we have his surgery scheduled for the 3rd of July, but we have to be in Abilene the 2nd for the pre-op physical.

On a side note, we had to have our dog, Ammo put to sleep on Wed. the 18th as well. He had developed cancer, so needless to say that even though the cardiologist gave Gabriel a clean bill of health, it became a bittersweet day for us.
Hope that everything is going well with everyone else.
In Him,
Rick, Angela, and Gabriel

So very sorry to hear about your beloved Ammo. He was a part of your family and I know you are so sad.

Glad that Gabriel's tests came back normal. Will he have to be checked every so often just to stay on top of it??

We are okay. Had a rough week with the sudden death of a former student...blood clot in the lung that settled on top of his heart. Very sad. He died in his father's arms on Father's Day. And now the life of our boss (principal) is on the line after he ran into the back of a truck on his motorcycle on Sunday as well. He already has a life-threatening disease (pulmonary fibrosis) and has developed some kind of infection. Prayers are going up like crazy around here. We are stressed, but blessed.

Mia is growing like a weed and started swimming lessons this week. She's a water bug!

Thanks for the updates! Later....Tal
